The system of the 5 elements (or phases of change) originating from Taoism represents the basis for the harmony of humans and nature.

The 5 elements water, wood, fire, earth and metal are closely related to each other, are in constant motion and strive for balance.

How a person acts or responds to life shows a lot about what happens inside and also about the energetic state of the organs.

 

The 5 element acupuncture is about finding out which element is out of balance and then treating the corresponding organ.

In Chinese, the organs are not limited to a physical function, but are also responsible for our mental and emotional balance.
